Charge times vary based on usage. When we test batteries, we start Windows and set the laptop to run as though it were hooked up to an AC adapter (max LCD brightness, hard drive and monitor always on, never go to sleep). We do not run any applications however. The amount of time we list as good for the battery is from the moment we unplug the machine until it beeps, warning that the battery is nearly exhausted.
